Official Visit of PT Surya Sarana Dinamika to PT Yamaha Electronic Manufacturing Indonesia
Pasuruan, East Java, September 16, 2025 – PT Surya Sarana Dinamika (SSD) carried out an official visit to PT Yamaha Electronic Manufacturing Indonesia (YEMI) in Pasuruan on Tuesday (16/09/2025). The delegation was warmly received by Mr. M Sholeh, General Manager of PT YEMI. In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Sholeh expressed his hope that this meeting would mark the beginning of a stronger and more collaborative relationship between the two companies, particularly in advancing digital transformation management under Industry 4.0 and improving operational efficiency.
In a cordial atmosphere, the CEO of PT SSD, Mr. Fajar Suryawan, conveyed his appreciation for the Industry 4.0 digital transformation initiatives already implemented at YEMI. “What YEMI is doing is not merely a technological transformation but also a human transformation. This is exactly what we expect from those of us engaged in Industry 4.0,” he said. Mr. Fajar further emphasized the importance of ensuring that Indonesia’s digital transformation continues, especially since new investors are currently facing challenges in entering the Indonesian market. He also expressed his hope that existing investors would remain in the country rather than relocate abroad, with digital transformation serving as a foundation for creating a more productive and efficient workforce.
The discussion highlighted the importance of employee motivation and validation, where positive feedback is seen as a key driver of productivity. The 5S methodology—Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke—known in Indonesia as 5R (Ringkas, Rapi, Resik, Rawat, and Rajin), was emphasized as a management philosophy focusing on efficiency, orderliness, and cleanliness in the workplace. This approach encourages daily discipline without supervision, while leaders are encouraged to offer praise instead of criticism.
As part of the visit agenda, the SSD delegation was given a tour of YEMI’s production facilities. The site tour provided direct insights into YEMI’s manufacturing processes in Pasuruan, which have successfully and consistently applied the principles of 5S, serving as an inspiration for other companies.
The visit is expected to open opportunities for collaboration between SSD and YEMI in building a more positive and productive work environment, with a focus on faster problem-solving and stronger employee engagement, while also reinforcing both companies’ commitment to implementing efficient operational standards.
The visit aimed to design a strategic collaboration to enhance vocational school teachers’ competencies in Robotics and IoT, ensuring that curricula and training remain aligned with industrial advancements.
